Sixth Form

Opening September 2025!

Hampstead Sixth Form provides holistic university preparation in the heart of Hampstead, a beautiful place in which to learn and thrive.

We are delighted to announce our new partnership with Alleyn's to transition our Sixth Form to Alleyn's Hampstead (September 2026). This collaboration brings unparalleled opportunities, enhanced academic pathways, and top facilities.

Introducing our Sixth Form

We are excited to welcome students to our new Sixth Form from September 2025, so children will be able to continue their education journey with NBH Senior Hampstead from 11 – 18.

In brief, our Sixth Form will specialise in A-level education supported by a comprehensive global careers and university advice programme. In addition to interdisciplinary projects and professional mentoring, we are currently launching new charitable and educational partnerships, including expanding opportunities for pupils to attend European and American universities and gain valuable work placements in London.

Our Sixth Form students will continue to benefit from our existing broad co-curricular programme, with a new range of visits and cultural experiences tailored to their age group.

We look forward to welcoming your children to our Sixth Form in September 2025!

Headteacher

Curriculum

We are proud to offer a broad curriculum along with a wide range of opportunities to prepare pupils for the next stage of their personal journey.

In Years 12 and 13 (ages 16-18), students typically study 3 or 4 subjects depending on their GCSE results and / or ability.

We prioritise developing a personal understanding of each individual student, so that we can best support them in every aspect of Sixth Form life and maximise academic success.

As well as their chosen A-Level subjects, students also study the Extended Project Qualification. The EPQ is an open-ended project which is equivalent to an AS-Level and is an excellent opportunity for students to learn new study and research skills as well as investigate a topic which fascinates them.

Enrichment

Our timetabled character development programme, known as Enrichment, helps students build resilience, problem-solving abilities, communication and teamwork skills. We dedicate one lesson double lesson per week to our enrichment programme and each term, pupils choose from an exhaustive list of activities.

Elements of the programme include but are not limited to East Asian Cultures, Charity Initiatives, Philosophy, History Trail, Engineering, Sustainability, Sports Leadership, Chess, and Eloquence. These activities nurture academic excellence and character development within a global perspective. Students describe the programme as "creative, collaborative, and different from the day-to-day. It is a way to learn new skills and expand your mind."

Our Spaces

2025: Alongside our existing specialist facilities, Year 12 students will have access to bespoke seminar rooms and a common room.

2026: Our new Sixth Form facilities will open, designed with emphasis on the student and unique needs of Sixth Form students.

Students will also benefit from subject-specific, immersive experiences beyond the classroom including trips, events and exhibitions, university visits and more.
