We provide all the support children need to excel
At NBH Regent’s Park Prep School, we are committed to educating the ‘whole’ child. We pride ourselves on our integrated vision for pupils’ education and wellbeing and whilst being a reasonably large school facilitates an abundance of opportunities for learning and personal growth, our warm and nurturing approach makes for an enormously supportive and inclusive environment. Our teachers maintain the strongest culture of care in a safe, confidence-building space, where each and every pupil develops a sense of purpose and self-worth.
We work in conjunction with parents and guardians to build strong links between home and school, and this starts at the very beginning of your journey with us.
“The school is just brilliant - a really happy caring environment where all the teachers really "get" the children. Classes are small so the attention is there. Could not recommend it highly enough.”
– NBH Regent's Park Prep Parent
PUPIL WELLBEING IS AT THE HEART OF ALL WE DO
We provide a strong pupil support network.
At Regent's Park Prep, children meet with their Form Tutor each day. The strong bond of trust that is established between pupils and form staff enables free communication in an environment where pupils feel seen, heard, and valued.
The Form Teacher takes ownership of the pupils within their care, encouraging them to flourish by embracing every opportunity to learn and participate in the numerous co-curricular, sports, music, and art activities provided by the school. Specialist support is also available from our on-site counsellor and our SENCo (Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator).
We empower the whole school community.
We host talks by specialists in their fields so that we can expertly navigate child development, best inform our rigorous pastoral programme, and empower staff, parents and pupils alike.
Expert insights on key topics such as online safety and emotional wellbeing offer invaluable guidance and resources for the whole school community. Our busy programme of assemblies, guest speakers, awareness days, and charity initiatives further empowers pupils to thrive, healthily and happily, in every facet of school life.
We develop skills to deal with adversity.
Academic success is inextricably linked with physical and mental wellbeing, so every educational opportunity is one to instil the skills which aid our students’ wellbeing.
From Forest School trips for pupils in The Nest, to residential PGL (Activity Adventure Trips) and bushcraft trips for older students, we connect with nature throughout the curriculum. This is a proven way to reduce anxiety, initiate friendships, enhance self-confidence and develop a hands-on approach to learning, developing the resilience to thrive inside and outside of the classroom.
Through our broad, structured, and carefully designed PSHE programme, we aim to teach students about the facts concerning their growth and development as individuals. We introduce concepts such as respect, liberty and equality to enable them to develop informed opinions and attitudes for themselves about a range of personal, social and moral issues.
We provide expert-informed parent support.
We aim to provide holistic support to everyone in our school community, in all areas of family life, which is why NBH Prep School subscribes to Tooled Up Education.
This gives our families access to a regularly updated digital library of evidence-based tips, activities, videos and podcasts, on all matters relating to parenting and family life. Tooled Up Education is curated by one of the UK’s leading experts on parental engagement in children’s lives and learning, Dr Kathy Weston.
