From a nurturing start to school life in The Nest, through an increasingly rigorous, specialist taught curriculum (incorporating everything from Mandarin to Politics, Philosophy and Economics), we thoroughly prepare pupils for the senior school best suited to their individual strengths and interests – expertly facilitating all 11+, 13+, or through school journeys.

With enriching co-curricular initiatives such as the ACE Programme and the Orchestra Project, close to 40 extra-curricular clubs, and an ISI (Independent Schools Inspectorate) commended programme of trips, we offer pupils a wholly inspiring experience, with constant opportunities to excel and find their own ‘True North’.

Last term, Year 8 Drama explored theatre design, turning shoeboxes into mini stages and stepping into the role of lighting designers!
With torches, coloured gels, and tiny ‘actors,’ they discovered how light creates atmosphere, signals the time of day, and reflects a character’s emotions. Inspired by ‘The 39 Steps’, pupils staged key scenes, experimenting with eerie shadows, bold spotlights, and colourful effects to bring Richard Hannay’s adventure to life. A brilliant way to see how lighting can shape a story on stage! 🔦🎬

Our Nursery and Pre-Prep children hopped into Spring 🐰 at our inaugural Spring Bonnet Parade 👒
We loved seeing everyone’s fabulous and fun bonnets - including everything from sustainable materials to creative themes like Peppa Pig, Pokémon, space, Minecraft, unicorns and Formula 1 racing. Each hat really captured the essence of every child!
Thank you to all who attended and supported the children in making this parade such a special occasion.

⭐ Hampstead Sixth Form Update ⭐
We’re delighted to announce Mr Dan Clarke as Head of Year 12.
Dan’s journey in teaching is unique. He originally trained as a physiotherapist but has extensive experience across various sectors in teaching and coaching.
As the current Head of Year 11, he’s excited to continue his journey with this group of students – a relationship that started all the way back when they were in Year 7.
Dan also brings a passion for educational experiences that allow students to look outwards and expand perspectives on the world beyond North London – whether through community partnerships, academics, or co-curricular activities.
With his background, Mr Clarke is especially excited about our Sporting opportunities in Sixth Form, including our new Sports Leadership Certificate (Level 3 Qualification).

🌅 Sunrise with Year 11 🌅
This morning, our Year 11s took to Parliament Hill for a sunrise celebration of their Senior School experience. Students took time to reminisce together, and with their favourite teachers, before heading to campus for a group breakfast 🍳
An extra shoutout to honorary Year 11s, Otto and Levi for joining the celebration too! 🐶
We recently marked Neurodiversity Week by celebrating the many ways our brains work and process the world. Neurodiversity refers to the idea that we all think, learn, and experience things differently, some people may find certain tasks easy, while others find them more challenging, and that’s what makes us unique!
Our students explored this through the story ‘The Perfect Fit’ and a whole-school activity. Each class discussed visible and invisible differences and created their own puzzle piece to represent their uniqueness. These class pieces were then joined together in a display, illustrating how we all have a place in our community. 💙

Our students have been exploring masculinity and the expectations that come with it. For the last few years, the Progressive Masculinity workshop has given them a space to challenge stereotypes, rethink expectations, and have honest conversations. Some have taken part before, others are just starting, but every voice adds something important.
Workshops like this matter. The pressure to fit into a certain idea of masculinity is everywhere, now more than ever - on social media, in friendships, even in the shows we watch. But real strength is about being open, being kind, and figuring out who you truly are.
Hearing our students share their experiences just proves how important these conversations are. More of this. Always.

Year 2 had a wonderful experience last week as Freshwater Theatre Company took them back in time to the Great Fire of London. Through interactive drama and storytelling, our pupils not only learned about the event but also engaged with it - building empathy, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills along the way.
Workshops like this make history more than just a subject, they offer a chance to experience the past in a way that deepens understanding and sparks curiosity! 🏙️
