We pride ourselves on really getting to know each individual child on their journey through Nursery & Pre-Prep, tailoring our approach to make our already warm environment optimal for every learner. Our students enjoy a fantastic mix of subjects, whether it’s bringing stories to life in drama, creating stunning art, mastering digital skills, or whipping up something delicious in food and nutrition - and that’s just the start! Parliamentary Aides are the behind-the-scenes powerhouses in government, supporting MPs with research, policy work, and the day-to-day running of Parliament. To be recognised at this level so early in his career is an outstanding achievement, and we couldn’t be prouder.

Building on yesterday’s celebrations, our Senior Hampstead students continued the Lunar New Year festivities in their whole school assembly. Led by some of our Year 7 and Year 8 pupils, they shared their cultural traditions, followed by insights from Mr Amar’s Mandarin Enrichment sessions. The assembly wrapped up with a lively House competition quiz - congratulations to Joey, Tom, Tristan, and Miss Watson for securing 50 Metis for Fortis!

It’s been fantastic to see the celebrations across our schools, with students of all ages enjoying the festivities, getting involved, and learning more about different cultures. 🏮🐍

They painted cherry blossom lanterns, exploring seasonal symbolism whilst engaging their senses through textures and colours, and developing their artistic skills. Chinese glitter writing was also a highlight, offering a tactile way to refine pencil grip and fine motor coordination in a fun and interactive way. Of course, no celebration would be complete without food, our pupils enjoyed a delicious Chinese-themed lunch, eagerly tucking into noodles and learning about the significance of this important festival.

Experiencing traditions like these brings learning to life, fostering curiosity, creativity, and a deeper appreciation for different cultures. Wishing everyone a year of good fortune and happiness! 🏮✨

Our recent trip was full of ancient treasures and a touch of competition for our Senior Hampstead Year 8, 9, and 10 Classics and Latin students, as they spent the day at the @britishmuseum, immersing themselves in history beyond the classroom. The morning was spent exploring the thought-provoking Hew Locke exhibition, whilst the afternoon was dedicated to the museum’s Greek and Roman collection.

For Year 9, seeing artefacts from Roman Britain added a whole new dimension to their Latin lessons, connecting their studies to real objects from the past. Year 10 Latin students took their GCSE Roman City Life unit beyond the textbooks, examining relics that once shaped daily life. Meanwhile, our Classics students had the chance to engage directly with prescribed sources, deepening their understanding of ancient civilizations.

The day wasn’t just about observation - students put their knowledge to the test in an artefact hunt, with Jad in Year 9 emerging as the winner! Learning history is one thing, but experiencing it firsthand? That’s something else. 🏛️🔍
