Sixth Form students from North Bridge House Canonbury Senior School in Islington are celebrating another year of impressive A Level results, having achieved 36% A*-A grades.

Outstanding results have been achieved in language and STEAM fields, with notable successes including 100% A*-A grades in Drama, Further Maths, Italian and Physics, plus 100% A*-B grades in Art, Chemistry, Politics and Spanish. ⁠

Students have also performed incredibly well in Computer Science and Maths, achieving 67% and 63% A*-A grades respectively.

The school’s graduates have secured places on a range of highly competitive Russell Group university courses, including Architecture, Biochemistry, Economics, History and Politics, Italian, Law, Mechanical Engineering and Psychology, to name a few.

For a small Sixth Form which is dedicated to providing truly individualised teaching and learning and exceptional UCAS support, staff and students are delighted to, once again, see this year’s A-Level results way surpass students’ academic trajectories.

15 of the 21 Year 13 students have secured entry to Russell Group universities, including Cardiff, Edinburgh, King’s College London, Liverpool, Oxford, Sheffield, Southampton, University College London, and Warwick. Other students have selected – and gained entry to – university destinations which are renowned for their creative media courses, pursuing passions such as Drama and Film and TV.

Top performing student, Savva, achieved A*A*A in Maths, Further Maths and Computer Science, and is delighted to have secured a place at the University of Warwick to pursue his talent in Computer Science – a popular degree course this year with fellow high achiever, Rafi (A*AA), also going to study this subject at King’s College London.

Rin upheld remarkable results in STEM, celebrating A* grades in Maths and Further Maths, plus an A in Economics and B in Geography. Rin will be reading Economics at the University of Oxford.

Evie, one of the members of the school’s very first Year 7 cohort, is delighted to see her NBH journey come to fruition with a place to study Biochemistry at King’s College London.

Overall, NBH Canonbury Senior students have achieved a highly commendable 70% A*-B grades, with a clean sweep of A*-B grades in nine areas of the curriculum: Art, Chemistry, Drama, Italian, Further Maths, Physics, Politics, Russian, and Spanish.
