ACADEMIC RESULTS
The Prep School celebrates first-class results year after year, with students gaining entry to the UK's leading destination schools at 11+ and 13+ and our own sought-after Senior Schools.
Both North Bridge House Senior Hampstead and North Bridge House Senior Canonbury have established an impressive track record of GCSE results, and with a Sixth Form at Canonbury, we provide extensive guidance on A Level choices, degree programmes and university selection.

With an average class size of 20, we are able to differentiate teaching and learning and ensure the curriculum is tailored to each individual's needs.
Class sizes are smaller still at GCSE and A Level with averages of 10-15 and 5 respectively.

Every child benefits from one-to-one support and through careful planning, monitoring and evaluating, we ensure pupils are stretched and challenged to achieve their full potential.
Whether it's Philosophy for Children in the Early Years or developing metacognition in the senior ones, we use evidence-based research to inform teaching methods at every key stage. Our teachers collaborate on research projects with UCL’s Institute of Education and experts on the adolescent brain to deliver a progressive, forward-thinking teaching and learning experience.
We provide bespoke preparation for every path to success, progressing pupils throughout each stage of their NBH education, or preparing them for other top 7+, 11+, 13+ and Sixth Form destination schools. We support and advise on the path best suited to the individual, with a Future Schools Coordinator and entirely subject specialist teaching team in place from Year 5 at the Prep School.
At NBH, we provide a stress-free education, removing entrance exams for pupils moving from one NBH school to the next and thus eliminating unnecessary pressures on their academic journey with us.
CURRICULUM
We take pupils beyond the national curriculum and into a wider learning experience, embedding skills in addition to those required to succeed at each key stage, while inspiring a genuine love of learning.
Our broad academic and creative curriculum is designed to develop each child personally as well as academically, promoting resilience and adaptability while ensuring real-life issues, such as BLM, are brought to the forefront.
We deliver a specialist curriculum from the outset of children's education, introducing pupils to French, Italian, music, dance and PE in the Early Years, before moving to an entirely subject specialist curriculum from Year 5 onwards.

NBH families benefit from the option of a stress-free all-through education which does not compromise on academic excellence, or individually tailored preparation for the UK’s leading destination schools and universities.
Students who sit 11+ and 13+ external entrance examinations gain entry to some of the best senior schools in the country - often with prestigious scholarship awards - while those who continue their education at our high-achieving Senior Schools secure university places at leading Russell Group destinations including Oxford and Cambridge, Bristol, Cardiff, Durham, Edinburgh, King's College London, Leeds, Liverpool, Queen Mary University of London, Sheffield, UCL and York.
