WELCOME TO NORTH BRIDGE HOUSE
North Bridge House has been shaping outstanding education in North London for over 80 years.
In September 2025, our Regent’s Park campus became Alleyn’s Regent’s Park, joining the Alleyn’s Schools Group and offering an exceptional education for ages 4–11 – a partnership founded on shared values of academic ambition, opportunity and care. Our Hampstead campuses will follow in September 2026, transitioning to become Alleyn’s Hampstead, an all-through school for ages 2–18.
Today, North Bridge House Canonbury stands as a thriving Senior and Sixth Form for students aged 11 to 18 in the heart of Islington – delivering academic excellence, a close-knit community and the confidence for every student to discover their own path to success.

Following an intense week of mock exams, we took some of our Year 12 students to sunny Barcelona to enjoy the cultural and culinary delights of Catalonia 🇪🇸
Highlights included a boat trip around Barcelona Port; a tour of the beautiful Sagrada Familia; soaking up the sunshine on Barceloneta Beach; learning to cook Paella; visiting Nou Camp; wandering the maze-like Gothic Quarter; and impromptu dancing at Park Güell.
Much fun was had as we smashed our daily step target (balanced with copious amounts of ice cream to cope with the heat) 🍦☀️
Now back to work to end the academic year strongly and get ready to step up to Year 13!
Mandarin in action 🇨🇳
Our Year 8s put their language skills to the test, ordering lunch, completing a scavenger hunt, and even interviewing the public in Mandarin.
Along the way, they explored Chinese culture, sampled some delicious snacks, and gained confidence using the language in authentic real-world situations. Nice job everyone!

A colourful celebration of North Bridge House through the decades 🎨✨
With a history dating back to the 1930s, NBH has encouraged children to develop creativity, curiosity, and confidence. To celebrate this remarkable journey, each class at our Nursery and Pre-Prep School painted a plant pot inspired by a different artistic era.
Take a glimpse behind the scenes of this special project! ✏️
At NBH Canonbury, it’s never about just getting into university - it’s about finding the right one.

🏘️ From town centres to coastlines 🌊
Year 10’s Geography field trip to Juniper Hall took students to two very different research locations.
They began in Leatherhead, exploring urban regeneration through environmental quality assessments and interviews with local residents about the impact of recent changes.
The following day was spent on Saltdean’s coastline, investigating how effective coastal defences are against erosion. As the photos show, the sun even made an appearance during their beach profiling ☀️
After two days of hands-on data collection, students returned to the classroom to analyse their findings and present their conclusions—bringing their GCSE Geography studies to life.
Well done to our Year 10 geographers for three days of focused fieldwork and research!

🇨🇭 Sixth Form in Switzerland 🇨🇭
A group of our Sixth Form science students recently took a trip to CERN in Geneva, Switzerland.
CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, is home to one of the largest particle physics laboratories in the world. This lab includes the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) which is the world’s largest and most powerful particle accelerator.
Our students had the opportunity to explore the labs and Geneva on their trip - returning with rave reviews and a further excitement about science!
