WELCOME TO THE NORTH BRIDGE HOUSE FAMILY OF SCHOOLS IN NORTH LONDON
At North Bridge House, we dedicate ourselves to deeply understanding each pupil as a unique individual. We believe success encompasses more than excellent academic results—it’s about each student discovering the path that aligns with their distinct talents and personality. Guided by our excellent teachers and the wealth of opportunities both within and outside the classroom, a North Bridge education helps every student achieve their full academic and personal potential, leading them on their journey to finding their True North.
OUR UNIQUE SCHOOLS
Whether you are looking for one of our vibrant campuses transitioning to Alleyn’s Regent’s Park (September 2025) or Alleyn’s Hampstead (September 2026), or are seeking our Canonbury Senior and Sixth Form (students aged 11 to 18) in leafy Islington, we offer a variety of choices. Families can benefit from the option of a stress-free all-through education or choose individually tailored preparation for the next stage of their child’s school career.
Our Regent’s Park Prep School for 4 to 13-year-olds is becoming Alleyn’s Regent’s Park this Autumn. Our Nursery, Pre-Prep and Senior School in Hampstead are transitioning to become an all-through option, complete with a Junior School in September 2026.

Behind every curious mind and every bright idea, there’s a teacher shaping the future.
Yesterday was World Teachers’ Day, a day to recognise the incredible dedication, hard work and inspiration of teachers everywhere. At Hampstead, every day is an opportunity to celebrate our amazing teachers, who nurture curiosity, guide our students, and make learning such a delight.
Thank you to our wonderful teachers for everything you do, today and every day! 🌍💛✏️

Celebrating a fantastic win with our U13 boys!
In the first round of the ISFA Bowl, our boys faced a tough Radnor House, Twickenham side. Falling 1–0 behind could have knocked their confidence, but instead, they showed real grit, perseverance and determination to fight back and level the score at 1-1.
With everything to play for, it all came down to a nail-biting penalty shootout… and the boys held their nerve brilliantly to claim victory!
A fantastic display of teamwork, resilience and self-belief. Well done, boys! 👏⚽

Reception had a very special visit this week!
As part of our People Who Help Us topic, three local police officers came to speak with The Maples and The Larches about their important role in keeping our community safe. Our pupils learned how to identify strangers, what to do if they get lost, and explored the special equipment officers use - even trying on police hats and seeing the torches used during night patrols.
Throughout the session, our pupils were highly engaged, asking thoughtful questions and showing a growing understanding of safety, community roles, and how to seek help in unfamiliar situations. The excitement didn’t stop there, the visit has inspired continued interest, with them already weaving what they learned into role play and free play conversations. 👮🎩🔦

What will the world look like in 50 years? Our Sixth Form students explored this question during a thought-provoking trip to the Barbican…
They watched 2073, directed by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Asif Kapadia, followed by an insightful discussion with Kapadia and investigative journalist Carole Cadwalladr. Together, they explored the film’s vision of a dystopian future and considered how we might shape a better tomorrow.
The experience linked directly to the students’ study of the Dystopian literary genre in English Literature A Level, while also offering valuable perspectives on politics and current affairs.
A special highlight for Amaya and Chloe was the chance to meet the director in person after the talk.

Last Friday, our Global Be Well Day was filled with lots of fun, connection, and creativity!
Our Pre-Nursery and Nursery pupils explored a sensory play area, discovering new textures and experiences, while Years 1 and 2 crafted friendship bracelets, celebrating the joy of teamwork. Pupils also took part in a thoughtful activity where they picked partners and shared compliments, highlighting the qualities they admired in each other’s personalities
The audio you can hear over this post is an original song composed by our wonderful music teacher, inspired by the heartwarming story The Invisible String.
It was a wonderful reminder that wellbeing is about kindness, connection, and taking the time to pause, reflect, and enjoy the moment. 💛🌍

Today our pupils proudly wore jeans or their favourite item of denim to support the incredible cause Jeans for Genes Day. Together we’ve raised an incredible £258! A brilliant achievement that will go directly towards supporting families and children living with genetic conditions.
Jeans for Genes raises awareness of the daily challenges faced by those living with genetic conditions and helps fund life-changing projects. Taking part gives our pupils a meaningful opportunity to show empathy, learn the importance of giving back, and make a difference.
Thank you for your wonderful support! 💙👖🧬

We’re building confident readers from the very start! At NBH our Reception pupils begin their reading journey with Read Write Inc. (RWI) - a lively, systematic phonics programme that lays the foundation for fluent, enthusiastic readers and writers.
Through daily, fast-paced and multi-sensory sessions, our children:
• learn pure sounds and blend them into words with the help of Fred the Frog
• practise reading both phonetically decodable “green words” and tricky “red words”
• develop early writing skills using Fred Fingers, picture mnemonics and daily handwriting practice.
From Reception through to Year 2, pupils are grouped by ability so every child is supported, and challenged, at the right level. By the time they move beyond Year 2, they’re ready to tackle spelling rules, prefixes and suffixes with confidence. 🌟

⭐️ Happy First Day of School ⭐️
Some of our Year 1 & 2s joined Mrs Cartwright-Styles in a cheers to the new school year. Hurray for Autumn term indeed! 🎉
(There was some debate here at our Nursery and Pre-Prep about whether the hurray was necessary - we went with the kids’ decision on this one 🥳)
